SUNRISE W4000 and W4700 heavy duty truck wash
Rollover gantries for buses, coaches and trucks up to 420 or 470 cm high.
The SUNRISE W4000 and W4700 are a heavy duty truck wash from Europe Makine: rollover gantries that wash buses, coaches, rigid trucks, vans and trailers while the vehicle stands still. Each gantry travels on fixed rails with a 400 cm gauge, washes with two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush, and runs from a PLC.
Europe Makine builds the full range of truck and bus wash systems in its own 1,500 m² facility.
Heavy duty truck wash for depots and fleets
A heavy duty truck wash cleans large vehicles on a depot schedule. The SUNRISE does it with the vehicle parked and the gantry moving along it. Fleets of city buses and articulated trucks use an in-house wash so vehicles are cleaned regularly, with no wait lines.
Vehicles it washes
- Buses and coaches
- Rigid trucks
- Vans
- Trailers
Size limits
- W4000: washing height up to 420 cm
- W4700: washing height up to 470 cm

One lane, one gantry
The vehicle is guided by steel pipes on the concrete floor, and the gantry runs on rails at 400 cm gauge. It washes with two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush, and chassis nozzles spray the underbody. Compare every heavy vehicle option on our truck and bus wash system page.

Commercial bus wash machine for city buses and coaches
As a commercial bus wash machine, the SUNRISE gives a depot one repeatable wash for city buses, coaches and vans. The bus stops in the lane and the gantry travels along it, running an automatic program for the vehicle type.
Controls
A PLC runs the wash, with automatic programs for each vehicle type and a manual control option. Menus are in Turkish and English. The brush system uses upright trolleys and pressure (printing) control.
Guiding the driver into the lane
Guide pipes and two traffic lights bring the driver into position before the wash starts.
- Steel router guide pipes, 3 inch in diameter, mounted on the concrete floor, position the vehicle in the lane.
- A 24 VDC LED traffic light sits at the start of the rail and another on the machine body.
- Red means the machine is running or off. Green means it is ready to wash.
Wash stages
The SUNRISE combines underbody, side, brush and drying stages.
-
Chassis wash
Special nozzles at the line entrance spray the underbody at 7.5 to 10 bar, automatic or manual, over a reinforced concrete substructure.
-
Robotic side wash
Pulsating jets with two or four turbo jet nozzles treat the side surfaces ahead of brush contact.
-
Brush wash
Two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush, in PE plastic or soft brush, with pressure control.
-
Surface drying
An automatic water sweeping unit uses high-pressure water to sweep the surface.
-
Winter drain
A push-button option drains water and chemicals below +4 °C and rotates the brushes.

Frequently asked questions.
How much does a heavy duty truck wash cost?
We price each SUNRISE in a proforma quotation, prepared at no charge. The quote depends on the gantry (W4000 or W4700), the wash options you choose, such as Hydrowash or the winter drain, and your depot layout. Send us your site details and the vehicles you wash, and the quotation sets out the options side by side.
How many trucks or buses can it wash per hour?
The W4000 washes a vehicle in 5 to 6 minutes. Your hourly count depends on how vehicles enter and leave the lane. Tell us your daily vehicle count when you request a quote, together with your depot layout, and we size the wash to it in the proforma quotation.
Which vehicles can a SUNRISE wash?
The SUNRISE is a commercial bus wash machine and a truck wash in one gantry. It washes buses, coaches, rigid trucks, vans and trailers. The W4000 handles a washing height up to 420 cm and the W4700 up to 470 cm, both at a washing width up to 285 cm. Send us your tallest and widest vehicle and we confirm which gantry fits.
What is the difference between the W4000 and the W4700?
The W4700 is the taller gantry. It washes up to 470 cm high against 420 cm for the W4000, and its machine height is 560 cm against 510 cm. Both share a 285 cm washing width, a 400 cm rail gauge, 380 V / 50 Hz power and the same two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush.
Is the SUNRISE a brush wash or a touchless wash?
The standard SUNRISE is a brush wash with two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush, in PE plastic or soft brush. Hydrowash is the brushless option: high-pressure water robots at 20 and 30 bar that sense the size of the vehicle and soften dirt with chemicals first. Tell us which fits your fleet.
What utilities does a SUNRISE need?
Both gantries run on 380 V / 50 Hz, with 3.5 to 4 bar water at 70 to 80 liters per minute and 6 bar air at 15 liters per minute. The optional equipment water requirement is 250 liters per minute. Electricity use is 0.12 to 0.15 kWh per vehicle. Your quotation confirms the connections for your depot.
How much space does a heavy duty truck wash need?
The machine is 465 cm wide excluding water shields, which add 14 cm on each side, and 510 cm high (W4000) or 560 cm high (W4700) on a 400 cm rail gauge. Send your depot layout, the daily vehicle count and your tallest and widest vehicle, and we plan the lane for your site in the quote.
Who installs and services the SUNRISE in the US?
We do. We install every SUNRISE and provide after-sales service, and our US company, Europe Makine ve Dis Ticaret LLC, installs and services our machines from Greenacres, Florida. Ask about your site when you request the quote, and we go through what the installation needs, including the concrete substructure for the chassis wash.
Can it run in cold weather?
A winter option is available. An automatic push-button evacuation drains water and chemicals when temperatures fall below +4 °C and rotates the brushes. Tell us your climate when you request a quote, and we include the option in the specification for your depot so the gantry is ready for the season.
Can I add options later?
Yes. The SUNRISE is modular, so optional accessories are installed without consuming extra space. Options include the Hydrowash brushless wash, the winter drain and hot-dip galvanization. Tell us which you want now and which you may add, and we cover both in the quotation.
How does the driver know where to stop?
Steel router guide pipes, 3 inch in diameter and mounted on the concrete floor, position the vehicle in the lane. A 24 VDC LED traffic light sits at the start of the rail and a second on the machine body. Green means the gantry is ready to wash, and red means it is running or off.
What is the gantry built from?
The gantry is built from A1 grade DKP steel with electrostatic powder coating, and hot-dip galvanization is available. Chain-driven energy transmission reduces load on the gearbox and motor. Water runs through galvanized pipes with electrostatic oven paint, on separate lines for rinse water, shampoo and chemicals, with 24 V DC solenoid valves.
